Niger Ambush: Three American Special Forces Troops Killed While Two Are Injured

During joint exercise of US- Nigerian troops in the southwest Niger, a group of army officers was on a routine round while in results of attack three American officers have died and two have wounded near the Mali-Niger border on Wednesday.


The United states officials reported that on Wednesday, the attack was made on the American special forces troops who were on daily routine work to train the Nigerian army.

While some group of people attacked on them which is the cause of death of three troops among 8 to 10 officers and two have injured which are now in stable condition as said by the officials.

American administration told to news that still the exact results of attack on the army officers is not confirmed as this is the initial assessment while there can be more damage.

No one from terrorist groups claimed the responsibility still now for the attack and the gunfire took place near the border with Mali in the capital of the country.

United States African command officer, Lt. Cmdr. Anthony Falvo said that the team was on petrol while they were training the Nigerian officers on Wednesday.

He confirmed that two officers have dead while two are injured, according to him one officer after the accident was in critical condition and now he is in stable condition.

According to command officer, the exact details about the attack are not confirmed yet as they are expecting the result not more badly than this, they are in search of more details and the extremist groups that are working in the region didn’t speak till now about the attack.

On Wednesday night, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told the news that President Donald Trump has received the briefing from the chief of staff John Kelly on Wednesday night.
