The American comedian James Douglas Muir “Jay” Leno was born in New Rochelle, New York on April 28, 1950 to Catherine and Angelo while he was insurance salesman.

He completed his bachelor degree in speech therapy from Emerson College, he was interested in doing standup comedy from the start of days and he started professionally comedy in 1973 when he started a comedy club.

After a hard struggle he made his name in comedy world when he appeared on March 2, 1977on The Tonight Show, before rising up as a best comedian in world, he appeared in numerous television series as a small role.

He made his debut in TV industry through 1976 episode “J.J. in Trouble” of Good Times and later he was appeared in a film Fun with Dick and Jane in 1977.

He was used as a substitute for the show ‘The Tonight Show’ in 1987 as a host while later in 1992 he again appeared to host the show while in 2004 he signed a contract with NBC as a official host of The Tonight Show until 2009 and through this he made his name as one of the best hosts in television industry.

Leno is interested to collect the cars as he owned about 200 cars in his collection which has value more than $50 million.
